Privacy Policy for Domainlert: Domain Manager

Domainlert: Domain Manager (“the App”) helps users look up and monitor domains, DNS, TLS certificates, website health, expiration status and related changes.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and when information may be sent to third-party services.

1. Information You Provide

The App may process information you enter, save or import, including:

Domains, subdomains, URLs, hostnames and IP addresses
TLS port numbers
Saved Domains and Wishlist entries
Groups, Client labels, Tags and notes
Monitoring, reminder and notification preferences
CSV, text or JSON data you choose to import or restore

This information is primarily stored locally on your device.

2. Domain, DNS, TLS and Website Checks

To provide network-based features, the App may send the domain, hostname, IP address or URL being checked to relevant internet services.

These features include:

RDAP domain registration lookups
Domain availability checks
DNS and DNSSEC checks
Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS queries
TLS certificate checks
Website Health checks

External services or destination servers may receive technical information normally associated with an internet request, such as your public IP address, requested domain or hostname, and request time.

These independent services may have their own privacy and retention practices.

3. Portfolio, Health and Monitoring Data

The App may store local information needed to manage and monitor your domains, including:

Registration and expiration summaries
Health Scores and health snapshots
DNS, DNSSEC and TLS status
Website Health results
Detected domain or configuration changes
Last check times
Monitoring and reminder settings

If automatic monitoring is enabled, background checks may run periodically based on the domain's status and your settings.

Temporary network failures may preserve the last known successful result instead of replacing it with incomplete data.

4. Notifications

If enabled, the App may send notifications for events such as:

Domain expiration or renewal
TLS certificate expiration
Domain availability changes
Registrar, DNS, DNSSEC or TLS changes

On supported Android versions, notification permission is requested before notification-dependent features are enabled.

5. Import, Export and Reports

The App can import supported domain lists, CSV files and JSON backups. It can also export portfolio data as CSV or JSON.

Exported files are saved only to locations you choose.

Domain reports may be shared as text or PDF and may optionally include organization labels, DNS records, TLS fingerprints or recent changes.

Temporary PDF report files are stored in the App cache and are designed to be removed after approximately 24 hours.

Once you share or upload a file using another application, that application's privacy practices apply.

6. Widget and History

The home-screen widget uses locally stored portfolio information to display domain counts, health summaries and urgent domains.

The App may also keep a local history of recent Domain Lookup and TLS check attempts.

History can be deleted from within the App and is not included in the standard Domain backup.

7. Advertising and Consent

The App may display banner, interstitial and app-open advertisements using Google Mobile Ads.

Google may process information such as:

IP address
Advertising or device identifiers
Ad views, taps and other interactions
Basic device, network and diagnostic information

Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used to manage advertising consent and privacy choices.

8. Accounts, Analytics and Cloud Sync

The current version does not require a user account and does not provide cloud synchronization.

Firebase Analytics and Google Play Billing are not currently used.

Advertising services may still process advertising, interaction and diagnostic information as described above.

9. Data Storage and Sharing

Portfolio, Wishlist, settings, organization data, Health information and History are primarily stored locally on your device.

The App does not sell or rent your saved portfolio or Wishlist data.

Information is sent to external services only when needed to provide features such as RDAP, DNS, TLS, website checks, advertising, consent management, or user-requested sharing.

Locally stored data may remain until you delete it, clear App data, or uninstall the App.

10. Personal Information and Security

The App does not require information such as your legal name, home address, contacts, photos, messages, passwords or payment-card details for its core functionality.

Please do not enter passwords, authentication tokens or other sensitive information into domain, URL, note, Group, Client or Tag fields.

Reasonable measures are used to limit unnecessary data collection, but no internet transmission or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-purpose domain and internet utility and is not specifically directed toward children under 13.

We do not intentionally request personal information from children through the App's core features.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when features, third-party services or legal requirements change.

Any updated version will include a revised effective date.
