FocusTag
Privacy Policy
Alor Feri Limited built the FocusTag app as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by Alor Feri Limited at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page informs users about our policies regarding the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of information when using FocusTag.
By using FocusTag, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
FocusTag does not require account creation. We do not directly ask users to provide their name, email address, mobile number, gender, contacts, passwords, financial information, or precise location.
To provide its core features, FocusTag may store the following information locally on the user's device:
- Focus plans and session settings;
- Session duration, blocking mode, and grace period;
- Applications selected by the user for blocking;
- Package names or technical identifiers of selected applications;
- NFC tag identifiers and focus-plan associations;
- Focus-session history and duration;
- Focus streaks and blocked-app attempt counts; and
- Application preferences and permission status.
This information is used to provide FocusTag's features and remains stored locally on the user's device. Alor Feri Limited does not receive or store this locally generated information on its own servers.
Accessibility Service
FocusTag uses Android's Accessibility Service only to provide its core app-blocking functionality.
During an active focus session, the Accessibility Service may detect which application is currently displayed in the foreground. FocusTag uses this information to determine whether the application is included in the user's selected block list and to display a blocking screen when necessary.
FocusTag does not use the Accessibility Service to:
- Read or collect passwords;
- Record keyboard input;
- Read messages or conversations;
- Collect contacts;
- Collect financial or payment information;
- Read the private content displayed inside other applications;
- Perform actions without the user's knowledge; or
- Transmit Accessibility Service data to advertisers or our servers.
Information required for app blocking is processed locally on the user's device. Users may disable Accessibility Service access through Android Settings, but FocusTag's app-blocking feature will no longer function.
NFC Information
FocusTag uses NFC to recognize compatible NFC tags assigned to focus plans. The app may read a tag identifier or the minimum technical information required to recognize an assigned tag.
NFC tag associations are stored locally on the user's device. FocusTag does not transmit NFC tag information to our servers.
Third-Party Services
FocusTag uses third-party services that may automatically collect limited information used to identify a device or understand how the app is used.
Third-party service providers used by FocusTag:
Firebase Data
Google Firebase may automatically process information such as the app-instance identifier, device information, operating-system version, app version, IP address, general app interactions, crash reports, diagnostic information, and performance data.
This information may be used for analytics, crash reporting, troubleshooting, security, performance monitoring, and improving the reliability of FocusTag.
Advertising and AdMob
FocusTag displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may process advertising identifiers, app-set identifiers, IP address, device information, approximate location inferred from network information, advertisement impressions, advertisement interactions, and diagnostic information.
Depending on the user's location, consent choices, Google settings, and applicable law, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized. Where legally required, consent will be requested before personalized advertising data is processed.
Data Safety
FocusTag's focus plans, selected apps, NFC tag associations, focus history, and settings are stored locally on the user's device.
Limited device, usage, diagnostic, advertising, and network information may be collected or processed by Google Firebase, Google AdMob, and Google Play Services.
Information transmitted to third-party services is protected in transit using HTTPS, SSL, or TLS where supported. We do not sell users' personal information.
Log Data
If FocusTag encounters an error, Firebase or other Google services may automatically collect diagnostic information, including the user's IP address, device model, operating-system version, app version, app configuration, usage time, crash logs, and technical performance information.
This information is used to diagnose technical problems and improve the stability and reliability of the app.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored FocusTag information remains on the user's device until the user deletes it inside the app, clears FocusTag's application data, or uninstalls the app.
Information processed by Google is retained according to Google's privacy policies, settings, and legal obligations.
Because FocusTag does not require an account and locally generated data is not stored on our servers, we may not be able to identify or remotely delete information stored only on the user's device.
For privacy-related requests, users may contact us at [email protected].
Cookies
FocusTag does not directly use browser cookies. However, third-party services or external websites opened from the app may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies.
Service Providers
We may use third-party companies and services for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service;
- To display and measure advertisements;
- To analyze general application usage;
- To diagnose crashes and technical problems;
- To improve app performance and reliability; and
- To detect fraud, abuse, or security threats.
These third parties may process information only to perform their assigned services and according to their respective privacy policies and legal obligations.
Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information handled through the Service. However, no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
FocusTag may contain links to external websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those websites. Users should review the Privacy Policy of every external website they visit.
Children's Privacy
FocusTag is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact us at [email protected] so that we can take appropriate action.
User Choices and Rights
Users may:
- Disable Accessibility Service access;
- Disable NFC or other app permissions;
- Manage Google advertising privacy settings;
- Reset or limit the advertising identifier where supported;
- Clear FocusTag's locally stored data; or
- Uninstall FocusTag.
Disabling certain permissions may prevent some FocusTag features from working correctly.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to FocusTag, third-party services, or legal requirements.
Any changes will be published on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly.
Effective date: 2026-09-08
